Major League Fishing returns to Cayuga Lake today through Sunday at Union Springs’ Frontenac Park, the fifth event of the 2023 Bass Pro Tour season.

Eighty anglers compete for over $800-thousand dollars in prizes including a top payout of $100-thousand dollars.

Last June Thomas Russell Junior set a state record after catching an 8-pound 6-ounce small mouth bass on the lake.

Though bass season doesn’t officially begin until June 15th, catch and immediate release of bass is allowed on inland New York waters from December 1st to June 14th.
