A Lodi youth has been recognized for his actions that helped save his grandmother’s life.

On October 30, Ethan Lisk’s grandmother suffered from a serious medical condition requiring immediate medical attention. Ethan called 911 and rendered lifesaving aid to his grandmother before first responders could arrive. Upon their arrival, first responders brought her to the hospital.

She has since recovered.

For his actions, Sheriff Tim Thompson presented Ethan with a Civilian Life Saving Award and a personal letter at the Law Enforcement Center last Wednesday.  Ethan also received a tour of the center and a close-up look inside a sheriff’s patrol vehicle.
