Lambert Promoted to Chief Deputy Sheriff in Ontario County

Chief Correction Officer Stacy Lambert has been promoted to the rank of Chief Deputy Sheriff within the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

It is the third highest-ranking position in the department. Chief Deputy Lambert will oversee all bureaus and is authorized to act in the absence of the Sheriff and Undersheriff. She will also be responsible for policy development and implementation, vendor contracts, and supporting the Undersheriff with the Professional Conduct Unit.

With a 21-year career dedicated to service, Chief Deputy Lambert began as a Correction Officer in 2004. She later transitioned to the Road Patrol Division in 2012, completing academy and field officer training before returning to the Corrections Bureau. Her journey continued with promotions to Correction Sergeant in 2018 and Chief Correction Officer in 2022.
