Insurance Issues Prompts Delay in Connie’s Diner Reopening

As work continues to repair damage from a fire in July, now comes word from the owners of Connie’s Diner that their reopening plans are delayed.

In a post on the Diner’s Facebook page, the Cartatozzolo family wrote that the reopening process of the Waterloo eatery has been pushed back due to issues with their insurance company.

As work was being done to install new awnings, sparks from a welding torch started a fire on July 29th.  It was the second fire at the diner in three years.
