Geneva PD: Unaware of ICE Investigations in City

There are unconfirmed reports that ICE- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-agents were in Geneva recently.

ICE agents were also in Rochester and Rochester officials tell 13WHAM News that they understand the ICE agents were also in the the Geneva City School District buildings.

The Geneva Police Department reports that they are unaware of any ICE investigations in the city. Police released a statement Monday night saying “There has been a lot of reports of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity in Geneva. The Geneva Police Department has not been made aware of any ICE investigations in the city, nor have we been requested to assist ICE in any way.”

According to ICE, hundreds of migrants across the United States have been arrested over the past few days including nearly 1,000 on Sunday alone.
