Heroes! Waterloo Firefighters Rescue Dog That Fell Through Canal Ice

The Waterloo Fire Department was dispatched to an ice water rescue on the canal Wednesday afternoon.

In a post on its Facebook page, the Department wrote, “After arriving two members donned ice water rescue suits and tied off to other members and successfully rescued the dog. Asst Chief Henninger and Lieutenant Stevens were suited up, several others were safety and support.”
