Helming: Give Kids Milk Choices in Schools

There’s a push to put 2% and whole milk back in schools.

State Senator Pam Helming serves on the Senate Ag Committee. She told FLX Morning that, not only should kids have the choice, but it would also be good for the state’s dairy industry.

“Not only do some of us feel that is a good option for our young people to have, but it also helps support New York State dairy farmers.”

Members of the committee signed on to a letter calling for the governor to make the milk available in school cafeterias.
