Health Dept. Urges Caution as HABs Continue on Cayuga/Seneca Lake

The Seneca County Health Department is warning of harmful algal blooms on Cayuga and Seneca Lakes.

As HABs are widespread across the Fingerlakes, the health department is urging residents to exercise caution around the lakes. Due to the recent weather, the area has been experiencing, HABs have been occurring daily in the area. They can appear as strongly colored water, a paint-like substance, or floating mats or scum.
