Tickets for the Geneva Library Foundation's 'A Taste of Jazz' event, scheduled for February 2, 2025, are displayed.

The Foundation for the Geneva Public Library will hold its largest annual fundraiser of the year on Sunday in the Geneva Library’s Reading Room. Nancy Bauder says the Taste of Jazz will feature Johnny Russo’s East Hill Jazz Ensemble.

Russo has experienced a varied musical career, including early years teaching all levels from grade school to college, to performing, composing, and recording in the competitive cultural mecca of Ithaca. Russo grew up in Geneva and studied music at the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music. His band appeared at Carnegie Hall’s Isaac Stern Auditorium in 2003 and has performed at Geneva on the Lake and at Taughannock Falls State Park for many years.

In addition to the live music, wine tastings will be provided by FLCC’s Viticulture & Wine Center and Billsboro Winery, sample beers from Watershed Brewing Company, and refreshments courtesy of Wegmans. You will also take home a wine glass courtesy of Pedulla’s Wine & Liquor to remember the event.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Advance tickets are available for purchase at the Library’s first-floor desk or online here.
