Geneva Mayor Steve Valentino announced this week he has appointed attorney 40-year old Lou Guard to fill the vacant City Court judge position vacant since the death of former judge Lisa Toole.

In a news release Valentino said Lou is a deeply respected lawyer and committed member of the Geneva community.

Guard is vice president and general counsel at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and an adjunct professor of law at Cornell Law School. He also serves as a member of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors.
