In less than a month, David West will be leaving his job as Director of Planning and Economic Development for the city of Geneva. On Finger Lakes News Radio’s FLX Morning, West told our Ted Baker he is taking a job as director of housing and community development in Tompkins County.

West has been with the city since the end of July 2023 after serving as planner for Danby.

Geneva City Manager Amie Hendrix says the city has begun the process of honing the role of West’s successor to ensure a seamless transition for the work of the Planning and Economic Development Department.
