The Town of Gorham is being sued by one of its former employees, who wants his job back and his back pay.
The lawsuit was filed in the State Supreme Court for Ontario County on Friday on behalf of Clair Kerrick for wrongful termination.
The Finger Lakes Times reports Kerrick was fired in May after working for the town as a motor equipment operator since 1999. In the lawsuit, Kerrick said he was given an option of being fired or resigning for an incident he was suspended for that happened back in early April.
After Kerrick was fired, he claims he was not given any formal notice of the charges against him or a hearing.
