Three adults, two children, and several pets were displaced by a house fire in Ontario County on Tuesday.

When firefighters responded to 1072 Willow Brook Bend in the town of Farmington, they found heavy smoke coming from the upper-level apartment. The fire appears to have originated in the kitchen and the building’s fire suppression system activated and helped limit damages. The American Red Cross assisted tenants with housing who were affected by fire and water damage due to suppression efforts.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ontario County Fire Coordinators Office.

The Canandaigua, Victor, and Farmington Fire Departments responded to the scene as well as Victor-Farmington Ambulance.
