Fire at Vacant Ontario County Home Under Investigation

Eight Ontario County fire departments responded to a house fire on County Road 2 in Bristol Friday night.

It was determined that the Northern house on the property at 4040 County Road 2 started on fire while the owner, Mary Collins, was gone. It is believed that the house has been vacant since June.

The home sustained extensive internal fire damage.

Bristol, Richmond, Cheshire, East Bloomfield, West Bloomfield, Naples, Ionia, and Victor Fire Departments all responded along with East Bloomfield and Canandaigua Ambulance along with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and the Fire Coordinator’s Office.
