Legal Assistance of Western New York is hosting a fair housing information session in Geneva to help residents better understand their legal rights and protections.

Scheduled for Thursday from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Geneva Public Library, the event will feature attorneys discussing fair housing laws, common types of discrimination, and what steps to take if rights are violated. A key focus will be on housing denials related to criminal justice history and lawful sources of income. Attendees will also learn about federal and state protections against discrimination based on race, skin color, religion, sex, and more.
