Driver Airlifted, Child Hospitalized After Collision in Wayne County

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a personal injury crash on Route 441 in the Town of Walworth.

According to authorities, Lorraine Watson of Macedon was driving westbound near Downs Road when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound car operated by Colby Mitchell. Mitchell was not injured in the crash.

Watson was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital, and a juvenile passenger in her vehicle was transported by Wayne County Ambulance to the same hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by New York State Police, the Walworth, West Walworth, and Lincoln Fire Departments, Wayne County Ambulance, Western Wayne Ambulance, Medic 82, Wayne County Medic 2, and Mercy Flight.
