A BEAM solar-powered electric vehicle charging station, located near Canandaigua City Hall, is seen in a photo accompanying news of its planned relocation.

One of the four electronic vehicle charging stations installed earlier this month in the city of Canandaigua will be moved.

The solar power station installed in front of City Hall has been widely criticized by residents for its design and the impact it would have on busy Main Street traffic. The city will place the charging station in the Coy Street parking lot.

The other three stations are located at the Lakeshore Park, Niagara, and Muar Streets parking lots.
