The City of Canandaigua Fire Department says drivers should expect a temporary change in how fire trucks leave Station 1 as construction continues on the department’s parking lot.

All apparatus will respond out of the back of Station 1 onto Foster Street for emergency calls. The adjustment will remain in place until the parking lot replacement project is completed this fall.

Fire officials are asking residents and drivers to use extra caution and stay alert around Station 1, located at 335 South Main Street, over the next couple of months while construction is underway.
