Blue-Green algae has closed one Ontario County beach.

Ontario County Public Heath Director Mary Beer said in a press release that the Sandy Bottom Beach on Honeoye Lake has been closed for swimming by the State Health Department’s Geneva Office due to the algae.

It is safe to swim and boat in areas of the lake where the algae is not present.
