Blood Drive Helps Remember the Fairport Angels

The Fairport Angels Blood Drive is today.

Sixteen years ago, five Fairport High School graduates died in a devastating car crash in Ontario County.

The blood drive, one of the largest blood drive collections in the Rochester area, is one-way families continue to honor the girl’s lives.

The head on crash with a tractor trailer on Routes 5 &20 in East Bloomfield killed Bailey Goodman, Meredith McClure, Sara Monnat, Hannah Congdon, and Katie Shirley.  The girls were on their way to Penn Yan and Keuka Lake to relax and be together before heading to college in the fall.
