Accident in Ontario County Knocks Out Power to Manchester Customers

Emergency crews respond to an accident on Route 96 in Ontario County that knocked out power to Manchester customers.

A number of weather-related accidents are being reported in the Finger Lakes this morning.

On Route 96 in Manchester, a pickup truck struck a utility pole due to icy road conditions just before nine. First responders reported the road was a sheet of ice as they arrived on the scene.   A number of homes and businesses in the area were without power due to the damage sustained to the pole.

In Yates County, Dundee fire and ambulance responded to a one-car rollover accident at around 8:30 a.m. No other details have been released.

A winter weather advisory for an icy mix for the Finger Lakes remains in effect until midday.
