A Second Dunkin’ for Geneva Looks Like Sure Bet

A sign advertising 0.88 acres of land stands in front of a commercial building and residential house, a potential site for a new Dunkin' in Geneva.

For over two years some Geneva residents have been thinking about a cup of coffee.

In April 2021 Geneva officials announced plans to sell a long-vacant piece of property at the corner of Exchange and North street , it would be Geneva’s second Dunkin’ (Donuts) site, along with 1,400-square-feet of additional retail space.

The Finger Lakes Times  reports the project  was derailed by environmental issues after the discovery of some contamination on the site.  The State Department of Environmental Conservation investigated and has cleared the property and the sale appears back on track.

The sale by the city to a Massachusetts-based company is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Dunkin has a restaurant on Hamilton Street in the Town of Geneva.
