16 Year Veteran of Geneva PD Promoted to Lieutenant

Sgt. Nicholas Bielowicz has been promoted to Lieutenant within the Geneva Police Department.

Lieutenant Bielowicz began his law enforcement career with the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office (Corrections Division) in 2003. He then joined the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department in 2005, followed by the Lyons Police Department in 2006. Two years later, Lieutenant Bielowicz joined the Geneva Police Department, where he was assigned to the Uniformed Division’s Road Patrol. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2018.

Lieutenant Bielowicz is highly experienced in various fields, including serving as a General Topics Instructor, Accreditation Manager and Assessor, Crisis Intervention Team member, and Tactical Warrant Services member. During his tenure at the Geneva Police Department, he has earned two Life Saving Awards and three Police Excellence Awards.
