Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is inviting students, families, staff, and community members to help shape the search for its next District Superintendent.

The first of several public input sessions will be held today as BOCES officials seek feedback on the qualities, priorities, and leadership characteristics residents would like to see in the organization’s next leader.

Lily Talcott, District Superintendent and CEO of TST BOCES, has been appointed by the New York State Education Department to serve as the search consultant and will lead the sessions.

Two in-person meetings are scheduled for today in the Gala Room at The Conference Center in Newark. The sessions will run from 4 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 7 p.m. Attendees should use the Vienna Street entrance.

Additional opportunities for public input will be offered virtually on Monday, June 15, from 5 to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, June 16, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is encouraging students in grades 6 through 12 who attend BOCES programs, their families, BOCES staff, and residents of its component school districts to participate.

Officials say feedback gathered during the sessions will help guide the search process and identify the qualities stakeholders believe are most important in the next District Superintendent.
