A Schuyler County man was killed in a one-car accident early Tuesday morning in the town of Montour.
The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to Mitchell Hollow Road around 5:36 a.m., where they found a 2014 Honda that had left the roadway. The driver and sole occupant, 53-year-old Thomas Gaylor, of Montour, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Schuyler County Coroner’s Office, Odessa Fire Department, Montour Falls Fire Department, Centralus Health EMS, and Wolfe’s Garage, which handled vehicle recovery.
