The Ithaca Police Department has welcomed three new members to its team.

Officer Honness and Officer Sawatzky, both Ithaca natives, join the department with strong ties to the local community. Deputy Chief Bellamy comes from the Cornell University Police Department, where he served for more than 21 years, including three and a half years as Chief.

According to the department’s post on its Facebook page, all three are looking forward to serving the Ithaca community, giving back to the city that has already played an important role in their lives.
