Update on Cayuga County House Explosion

While investigators continue to look into the exact cause of Monday night’s house explosion in Cayuga County, they are focusing on a possible propane leak.

Fire crews from five departments responded to Stickles Lane in the Town of Conquest around 11:30 Monday night.

The Citizen reported Wednesday a 72-year-old resident of the home remains hospitalized with severe burns. A second person, a 76-year-old man, was treated at a local hospital and has since been released.
