UPDATE: Boil Water Order for Throop Lifted

The boil water order issued for residents of the town of Throop was lifted on Wednesday by the Cayuga County Health Department.

On Wednesday, the Cayuga County Health Department received drinking water sample results from samples collected on February 3 and February 4 that were satisfactory, and residents no longer need to boil their water.

The boil water order was issued on January 30 and remained in effect until February 5 for Town of Throop residents on public water on the following streets:

• Turnpike Road (1412 up to and including 1916)
• Donovan Road, Canoga Road, Northrup Road, Nugent Road, Youngs Road, Webster Road, Griffin Road, and McDonald Road.
