United Way of Cayuga County’s Day of Caring isn’t until August but the non-profit has launched its registration for projects and volunteers.

Julisa Stone with United Way told Finger Lakes News Radio it’s about community, saying “Day of Caring is an opportunity for the entire community to come together to support a day long project at a non-profit or a community center, like a library, fire department, community park… to come together and embrace community.”

If you have a project in need of assistance or would like to volunteer, you can do so on United Way’s website. The deadline for both registrations is July 21st.
