United Way of Cayuga County’s Night at the Syracuse Crunch fundraiser will return for its third year in February.

The Crunch will take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on February 28. Julisa Stone-Szpaicher with United Way told Finger Lakes News Radio that the nonprofit chooses games against Penguins for their fundraiser because their coach JD Forrest, is a Cayuga County native.

A portion of the proceeds from specially purchased tickets will benefit United Way’s 2024-2025 campaign.

Tickets must be preordered by February 26. They can be purchased by contacting Annika Tyson at 315-473-4444 ext 126 or [email protected]. Tickets can also be purchased online using promo code united.

After a trial run in 2019, United Way decided to make the Night at the Syracuse Crunch an annual event in 2022.
