United Way Day of Caring Registration Ends Friday

The deadline to register a project or to volunteer for United Way of Cayuga County’s Fifth Annual Day of Caring is fast approaching.

The Day of Caring sees volunteers from across Cayuga County assist nonprofits on a variety of projects such as planting, stair repair, administrative work, and gardening. This year’s Day of Caring will be held on Thursday, August 7.

Project registration is open to 501(c)3 nonprofits and community places like libraries and parks physically located in Cayuga County.

Individuals can either register by themselves or with a group.

The deadline to register is Friday. For volunteer and project registration requirements, visit United Way’s website.

During last year’s event, 220 volunteers completed 16 projects across the county.
