A public ceremony on Thursday will mark the completion of rehabilitation work at the City of Auburn’s Water Filtration Plant Slow Sand Filter Building.

The over 100-year-old facility has undergone a large amount of infrastructure renovations marking the first significant improvements at the facility since its opening.

Funding for the project came from a state Water Infrastructure Improvement grant.

The ceremony will take place at the 160 Swift Street facility at 6:00p following the regular city council meeting.
