Three Cayuga County villages are working to help stock food pantries throughout the county.

Cayuga, Union Springs, and Aurora are holding a competition to see which village can raise the most nonperishable food items to be donated to TomatoFest for distribution to nine food pantries throughout the county.

Donations can be dropped off now through September 6 at each village’s offices during regular business hours with a winner crowned at TomatoFest.

Founded in 1985, TomatoFest seeks to raise money and food for Cayuga County food pantries through its annual community event. This year, TomatoFest will be held from 11:00a-7:00p on Saturday, September 7 in downtown Auburn.
