State Budget Gives Auburn Authority to Charge Hotel Tax

The just-passed New York State budget authorizes the city of Auburn to charge a hotel tax. City Clerk Chuck Mason credited State Senator Rachel May with ensuring this was included in the final spending plan.

 

The state budget allows the city to charge up to 5% for hotel stays.
