Shakespeare returns to Auburn.

The Seward House Museum is bringing back Shakespeare in the Gardens with a performance of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. The comedy, which tells the tale of friendship, infidelity, and people’s foolish behavior when in love, will be performed by Syracuse Shakespeare-In-The-Park at the Seward House on August 7 at 6:00p.

The public is invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, food, and drinks to view the free event.

After being on hiatus since 2017, the museum brought back the event in 2022 and hoped to make it an annual occurrence; however, last year’s production of The Merchant of Venice had to be cancelled due to air quality concerns from the Canadian wildfires.
