Actors perform a Shakespeare play on the porch of the Seward House in Auburn, New York, for an audience gathered on the lawn during a "Summer Shakespeare Night" event.

An Auburn summer tradition is back on schedule.

The Seward House Museum is partnering with Syracuse Shakespeare-in-the-Park to put on a production of The Merchant of Venice.

Last year, the museum was able to bring Shakespeare in the Gardens back following a hiatus due to the pandemic. Before that, the event had not taken place since 2017.

Now the museum wants to make Shakespeare in the Gardens an annual event again.

The Merchant of Venice will be performed June 7th at 6:00p at the museum. The event is free and open to the public.
