An event later this month at the Fingerlakes Mall will help seniors and their families learn about available resources in Cayuga County.

The Cayuga County Office for the Aging will host its Senior Resource Fair from 8:30a-1:00p on September 25 at the mall.

From 9:30-10:15a, a public hearing will be held for the office to gain a better understanding on how it can help older citizen in their communities. From 10:30-11:30a, a panel of local experts will be on hand to discuss concerns surrounding the wellbeing of older citizens and what help is available to them. From 12:00-12:30p, there will be a presentation on the virtual senior center and Trualta, NY State’s family caregiver support platform.

There will also be vendors, flu shots, elder attorney consultations, benefits eligibility screenings, balance tests, and vision and health screenings.
