It looks like Sonic Drive-In will not be coming to Auburn after all.
Back in June, the Texas-based restaurant company submitted a site plan application which included demolishing an existing residence on Grant Avenue and constructing a 1,227-square-foot Sonic. That application was tabled by the planning board.
The Citizen is now reporting the franchisee has since withdrawn the application.
Before being withdrawn, the site application listed that the proposed restaurant would have featured a drive-thru, 10 car-side service stalls, and a parking lot.
