Report: AMR Ambulance to Leave Auburn

The rising costs of equipment, a shrinking pool of qualified workers, and sluggish reimbursement rates will force AMR Ambulance to close its city of Auburn location by the end of the year.

CNY CENTRAL reports Cayuga County Director of Emergency Services Riley Shurtleff sent out a letter on Friday and wrote local officials will “work to fill the gap.” Shurtleff warned when AMR departs it will have an impact on wait times on an ambulance during peak hours
