Registration is open for the Owasco Watershed Lake Association’s (OWLA) August Public Forum.

Christopher Scholz, Syracuse University Professor of Paleolimnology and Rift Basin Evolution, will discuss the geologic history of Owasco Lake and the other Fingerlakes. OWLA says Scholz’s research focuses on “recovering records of past climate and recent tectonic activity from lake basin deposits, and on the sedimentary basin analysis of extensional systems, with emphasis on lacustrine basins.”

The free event will run from 7:00-8:30p on August 6 via Zoom. Registration can be done here.
