This Saturday is Earth Day and the City of Auburn is celebrating by holding its annual Owasco River Clean-up along the Mill Street Dam area.

New for this year, before the clean-up, city staff will be on hand to conduct a tour of the dam’s hydroelectric facility at 9:30a.

Also, those who volunteer will be given a coupon for a free tree or shrub, available May 12th at the Cayuga County Soil and Water Conservation District’s Annual Distribution Day.

Classic Hits 99.3 will be broadcasting live from the dam from 10:00a-12:00p.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the dam and bring their own gloves and rakes and to meet at the dam by 10:00a.
