Overdoses Declining in Cayuga County

Overdoses continue to decline in Cayuga County.

According to the county’s Overdose Data Dashboard, there were 89 overdoses in the county between January and June with three of those being fatal. Over the same time period last year, the county saw 112 total overdoses, including four fatalities.

June has seen the most overdoses so far this year with 22, none of which were fatal.

Over 50% of this year’s cases involve individuals between the ages of 18 and 34.
