No Injures Reported as Crews Made Quick Work of Weekend Fire in Auburn

No injuries were reported during a weekend house fire in the City of Auburn.
Firefighters arrived at the vacant multistory building at 1 Franklin Street just before 9:30p on Saturday for the reported fire. Upon arrival, firefighters saw fire in two second-floor windows leading to a second alarm being protected.
Crews gained access to the building through boarded-up doors and searched it for anyone inside but no one was found.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within 30 minutes.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Fire Investigator Whaln at 315-253-4031.
Auburn firefighters were assisted on the scene by the Auburn Police Department, Throop Fire Department, Auburn Ambulance, NYSEG, and Code Enforcement.
