In an effort to improve safety and ease traffic congestion, the Moravia Central School District will unveil a new drop-off and pickup pattern at its elementary school next month.

The district announced that, once the change takes place, families will follow Park Street, forming a single-file line to the Elementary Auditorium before picking up or dropping off their students. They will then exit onto Main Street and turn right or left as needed.

Additionally, Jr/Sr High School parents will be expected to pull up to the sign along the sidewalk in the North Lot for pickup and drop-off.

The district anticipates the change will reduce congestion on Main Street, create a smoother and safer traffic flow, and allow school staff to better supervise and support a safe arrival and dismissal.

The new pattern goes into effect on Monday, November 3.
