One local nonprofit is holding a special fundraiser to help an Auburn soup kitchen this holiday season.

APE Scare & Care will hold its Holiday Cheer Food Drive on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00-4:00p at the Auburn Walmart. They will be set up by the grocery entrance, where they will also have story time with Mrs Claus and visits from Krampus.

APE has the goal of filling up a U-Haul truck with items to assist the Auburn Community Soup Kitchen. The nonprofit is specifically seeking the following items, as the soup kitchen is in most need of them: canned vegetables (no. 10 cans preferred), spaghetti sauce, gravy, stuffing mix, individual 6-oz drinks, small bags of snacks, paper towels, and dishwashing soap.

Items can be dropped off in person at APE’s station or by ordering items online and listing “APE Scare & Care” as the pickup person.
