When will Moravia residents find out what projects are getting a boost from the village’s NY Forward funding?

The Local Planning Committee will vote on October 26 to recommend $4-5 million worth of projects to the state. A final proposal is due to New York by December which will then announce which projects will get a chunk of the $2.25 million awarded to Moravia early next year.

Projects for consideration include renovations to downtown buildings, creating mixed-use facilities in older buildings, improvements to public parks, and sidewalk work.

Back in February, the village was selected to receive over $2 million to support downtown revitalization as part of the state program aimed at helping communities deemed too small for DRI funding.
