Horses Suffer Minor Injuries After Trailer Overturns in Cayuga County

Two horses were removed from a trailer that overturned in Port Byron Monday.

The Port Byron Fire Department responded to an overturned trailer with two horses trapped inside at the corner of Route 31 and Lasher Road. The fire department says the horses suffered minor injuries but were “very shaken up.”

The Montezuma Fire Department, Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police all assisted at the scene.
