Following the issuance of a boil water order for Cato on Tuesday, the Cayuga County Health Department is reminding county residents of the importance of signing up for the county’s Hyper-Reach notification system.

When the order was issued, the department was able to notify Cato residents through the reverse 911 program.

Hyper-Reach lets county officials send important notifications directly to your phone when there is a countywide or local incident.
