A Skaneateles firefighter was injured battling the Monday night fire in Niles.

Crews from Cayuga and Onondaga Counties responded to the fire reported as starting in the chimney before spreading to the entire structure at 4754 State Route 41A.

At one point, firefighters had to evacuate the building due to a partial roof collapse.

According to The Citizen, Ariel Mead was injured and taken to the hospital via ambulance for her non-life threatening injury.
