Family Displaced after Monday Morning Fire in Auburn

A family has been displaced following a Monday morning fire in the City of Auburn.

The Auburn Fire Department reports a crew arrived at the Madison Ave home just after 4:00a for charring on a wall and the smell of something burning.

The crew found an active fire inside the wall which had extended to the attic.

After opening up the wall and ceiling, the blaze was able to be extinguished.

No injuries were reported and the Red Cross was called in to assist the family displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
